Ever heard of SEO, CMS, HTML, Static, Dynamic, Flash, Databases, PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, Search Engine Friendly - the list goes on. These are just some of the terms you may come across when you decide to have a website designed or redesigned.
Do you care what they mean? Not really, I should think, unless you're a web developer. All you may want is a successful website to advertise your business.
All of the terms mentioned are techniques that can be used in the creation of a website and some are more expensive, both in time and money, than others! Basically, the more complicated your website, the more things you want your website to do, the more expensive it will be. This does not necessarily mean that it will be more successful.
A complex website may be necessary for your type of business or organisation, and if well designed and engineered, can be well worth the investment. But a simple but well designed website, both visually and technically, combined with traditional marketing can also do well and help your business grow.
